Trina Rapper was born on December 30, 1978. She is an American rapper from Miami, Florida.

Biography and Career

Trina was born with a name Katrina Laverne Taylor. She is an African American. She was grown up in Miami and upper-class Pembroke Isle. Trina graduated from Miami Northwestern High School, where she had been a majorette; after high school she worked office jobs at AT&T and United Parcel Service and later she studied real estate sales.In 2000 she came up with her first debut album titled to be Da Baddest Bitch.

After her first album the next two years she spent time with Missy Elliott developing her second album and finally on August 27, 2002 Trina released her second album Diamond Princess in USA. The album spawned three singles, including No Panties which became Trina's first release outside of the U.S. and the smash hit song, B R Right featuring Ludacris. Trina's third studio album titled Glamorest Life and it was released on October 4, 2005. Album was charted at no.1 on the Billboard Albums.

The album featured her highest charting single to date, "Here We Go" featuring Kelly Rowland. It also became her first single to chart outside of America. Glamorest Life sold more than 400,000 units in the U.S. according to Soundscan totals. In 2007, Trina released two mixtapes. Rockstarr Royalty was released in the spring of 2007 and the Baddest Chick 2: Reloaded was released in the fall.

In 2008 Trina released Still da Baddest. The album debuted at no.1 on the Billboard Rap and R&B charts, and at no.6 on The Billboard 200. In 2008, Trina created the Miami based female rap duo, Pretty Money, with members Nisha and An-G. The group is to be featured on Trina's fifth studio album. Trina Rapper released her fifth album named Amazin' in the year 2010.

Trina have been nominated for American Music Awards, six times so far. In 2002 she was also nominated for MTV Video Music Awards, for her song One Minute Man. She have been also nominated for Soul Train Music Award and The Source Hip-Hop Music Awards.
