Jacopo Carucci (1494-1557) developed a dramatic Mannerist style, with lurid colours.
Short Biography:
Pontormo worked in Andrea del Sarto's workshop from 1512. An early work, Joseph in Egypt about 1515 (National Gallery, London), is already Mannerist.
His mature style is demonstrated in The Deposition about 1525 (Sta Felicita, Florence), an extraordinary composition of interlocked figures, with rosy pinks, lime yellows scene.
