Merrill Beth Nisker, also known as Peaches, is a famous Canadian singer, songwriter and record producer. Before she took her stage name, Nisker was an elementary school music and drama teacher.

She began her career in 1995 and since then many of her songs have been featured in important movies, like ''Lost in Translation'' or ''My Little Eye''. Her latest album is expected to be released by October 2008, when she will be playing live at the Parklife Festival in Australia.
