Michaella Krajicek was born on the 9th of January 1989 in Delft, Netherlands and she is a tennis player.
Biography and Career :
While being a junior tennis player she reached the first position of Top 100. Her brother, Richard Krajicek, won the title at Wimbledon.
In 2003 she turned a professional player and next year started winning titles. Until now she has won eight single tournaments and four doubles tournaments.
The tournaments were won at Brussels, Koksijde, Stockholm, Bergamo, Ortisei, Tashkent, Hobart and Hertogenbosch and some of the most important opponent defeated is Dinara Safina.
At the US Open she played in the first round in 2006, but was eliminated and didn’t reach the next round.
In 2006 she participated at the Australian Open where reached the third round
, but Amélie Mauresmo beat her.
One year later, in 2007, she played at Roland Garros but was eliminated in the third round by Serena Williams.
Her best performance at a Grand Slam title was obtained at Wimbledon where played into the quarter-finals.
She is still very young and her career is at the beginning. Specialists say she is talented and offer her credit.
Perhaps in the next years we’ll see her in the front of the Top 100 and with many tournaments won.
