Maximilian Raou Steiner (1888-1971) was an Austrian composer of film music who lived in the USA from 1914. Short Biography:
He composed his first film score in 1929 and produced some of the cinema's finest music, including the scores to King Kong in 1933, Gone with the Wind in 1939, and Casablanca in 1942.
