Mario Lemieux was born on October 5, 1965 in Montreal, Quebec. He is a retired professional ice hockey centre who played 17 seasons for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1984 and 2005.
Biography and Career:
Between 1984 and 2005 he was the player of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League but unfortunately he suffered some injuries and had to take some breaks few times.
When he retired first time he entered the Hockey Hall of Fame.
He is also the winner of two Stanley Cups, an Olympic gold medal and two World Cups of Hockey.
Some of the awards won are Hart Memorial Trophy, Calder Memorial Trophy, NHL Plus/Minus Award, Lou Marsh Trophy, Lester Patrick Trophy or Dapper Dan Athlete of The Year.
On the 26th of June 1993 she married Nathalie Asselin and they have four children.
Since 2004 he is on Canada's Walk of Fame.
