
Maribel Guardia was born on May 29, 1960. She is a costarrican actress, who works and lives in Mexico. Maribel Guardia height: 5'7"/170 cm.
Biography and Career :
Guardia was elected Miss Costa Rica in 1977, going on to represent her birth country at the Miss Universe contest. She did not become Miss Universe, but was selected as the "most photogenic" contestant. The contest had been held in Acapulco, and she received offers by Televisa producer Sergio Bustamante to develop a career there.
Guardia moved to Mexico in 1980; this move proved to be crucial for her show business career.
In 1980 Maribel Guardia's first appearance in the Mexican TV was on Channel 2, in "Noche a noche", with Loco Valdes.
In 1984 she had already participated in 12 movies.

nt on to became a superstar all over Latin America, making multiple telenovelas and releasing a series of CD's in the Nortena music genre.
Maribel Guardia's first album as a singer was lauched in June 1988.
