Maria Kirilenko was born on the 25th of January 1987 in Moscow, Russia and she is a beautiful tennis player.
Biography and Career :
When she was five years old she started training and at twelve years old Elena Brioukhovets offered her the chance to work together.
2001 was the year when she became a professional player.
In September 2005 her first WTA title came at Beijing on hard after beating in the final Anna-Lena Gri¶nefeld.
Another two ITF single titles were won and also three WTA doubles titles since she has become professional.
The doubles tournaments were won at Birmingham, Tokyo and Doha and her partners were Maria Sharapova, Gisela Dulko and Martina Hingis.
At the US Open she reached the third round in 2003 and 2006, where lost to Aravane Rezai and at Wimbledon
the second round in 2005.
In 2006 she participated at the French Open and Australian Open and reached every time the third round. The same performance was done in 2007 at the Australian Open.
In June 2006 she was ranked on the highest position in Top 100 until now, and it is the 20th position.
She is very beautiful and was spotted by the British fashion designer Stella McCartney who designs for Adidas and since 2006 she is sponsored by that company.
In 2007 she participated at the Dubai Tennis Championships and in the second round she lost to Daniela Hantuchova with the score 6-2 4-6 6-7 (4/7).
With her talent and ambition she could go very far with her tennis career.
