Biography and Career:
Manon was goalie for her national team, and she won with the Canadian team the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Nagano, 1988. Also, together with her colleagues, she won the Gold medals at IIHF World Women Championships in 1992 and 1994.
The most impressive facts about her carrier is that she was the first women to play in a Junior A men`s hockey game(for Trois-Riviers QMJHL during the 1991-92 season) and that she is the first women to ever play in a professional hockey game (Tampa Bay Lightning v. St. Louis Blues) in 1992.
Her ex husband, Gerry st. Cyr, is an ex minor league hockey player and a roller hockey player.
They married in June 1998 but they later divorced, after having a son.
Manon formed a foundation, the Manon Rheaume Foundation, in 2008 with the intention of giving something back to the community. The foundation helps young women providing scholarships with the hope of fulfilling their dreams.
She also appeared in a TV show, guest-starring as herself, in "A Beachcombers Christmas", alongside Tiger Williams and Jyrki Lumme. Also she appeared in "Late Night with David Letterman", "MTV's House of Style", "Maury Povich", "CBS This Morning", "Good Morning America", "Entertainment Tonight" and last but not least, "The Today Show".
When she was still a hockey player, both Playboy Magazine and Penthouse Magazine proposed that she do some shoots, but she refused.
