Louise Post was born on Wednesday, December 07, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Barnard College and she is a famous singer/guitarist/songwriter.

Biography and Career:

Post grew up in the Midwest but moved to New York City after high school to attend Barnard College. She then made Chicago her new home and co-founded Veruca Salt in 1993 with Nina Gordon. The original lineup also included bassist Steve Lack and drummer Jim Shapiro. Even though she was influenced by the chords and melodies of grunge, she drew on everything from pop-metal to quirky '80s new wave and had considerable power pop appeal. There were plenty of eccentric tracks on their first full-length album, American Thighs. Her love of '80s metal/hard rock be came even more obvious when Veruca appointed Bob Rock to produce their second full-length album, Eight Arms to Hold You (a 1997 release). Though this album went gold, it was bounded by great turmoil. Adding to the turmoil was the fact that Post's boyfriend Dave Grohl embittered on her for actress Winona Ryder. In spite of all that, she opted to keep Veruca going and collected a new lineup which was heard on Veruca's third album, the extremely bitter and hurtful, Resolver. More lineup changes followed. When Veruca's fourth full-length album, IV, was released in 2006, the lineup consisted of Post, Fitzpatrick, bassist Nicole Fiorentino and drummer Kelli Scott. Though not a huge seller, IV was hailed by some reviewers as Veruca's best, most focused release since Eight Arms to Hold You.

She married her boy friend Tony Parks in Vegas on March 30, 2008. They have been dating since 2001. Her husband has another band called The Brontosaur.

In 2008, she was one among the providers for Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna's book Cherry Bomb.
