Kathy Diamond was born in Sheffield, England, and was brought up on disco.

Biography and Career:

Following family rivalries in her young age, she started writing songs and performing in 1993. This set up her contacts with writers from various genres. She kept writing and playing till 2002 until she wrote the song “Miracles Just Might”. The song was planned for an industry album. But she released it herself when those artists didn’t accept the track.

One of her friends, Nasreen, introduced her to Maurice Fulton, a disco producer. The collaboration between Kathy and Maurice resulted in the single “Sunshine” under the label of Cottage. The track also appeared in Press Play (2005), a collection of DJ tracks. Next, they released the singles “All Woman” and “Over” under the labe l of Permanent Vacation.

Following the moderate success of these tracks, Kathy released her debut album “Miss Diamond to You” in 2007. It was well-received by magazine like Rumor of Italy and SXLR8r. It also received positive response from online music site Stylus. With this success, she started performing gigs around London and even outside the UK.
