John Hawkes was born on the September 11, 1959. His father was Peter Perkins and his mother was Patricia Perkins. He was born at Alexandria in Minnesota. But he was shifted to Austin in Texas with his parents. He is an American film actor. His roles in The Perfect Storm has been greatly applauded. He played the role of Bugsy in that series. In the HBO series Deadwood he played the role of Sol Star, a Jewish Merchant. In the season one of 24, he portrayed the character of Greg Penticoff . In the HBO series Eastbound & Down , he acted the role of Dustin Powers, the brother of the main character Kenny

Powers.

He acted in films like Wristcutters: A Love Story and Me and You and Everyone We Know. For the film The 1 Second Film, he worked as an executive producer.

At the beginning of his career he was involved with the band group Meat Joy. He worked with the singer and songwriter Gretchen Phillips. He was also a part of the band group King Straggler . Here he got as his felloe the actors like Brent Gore and Rodney Eastman.
