John Digweed was born on January 1, 1967, in Hastings, England. He had been DJ-ing from an early age and was introduced to the Renaissance Club of Mansfield by DJ Sasha in 1993. He also earned a record contract with Stress Records and his first track, "For What You Dream Of" was released in the UK.
He performed in the London dance club, Heaven, in 1998 and then at the Brighton club, The Beach. A year later, in 1999, he formed Bedrock Records. The Bedrock and Northern Exposure compilations were released by Ultra Records in USA. He also partners with Nick Muir to co-produce mixes under the name of Bedrock.
Sasha and Digweed entered New York by opening a residency at Twilo of Manhattan. John Digweed performed regularly
at the event until it wrapped up in 2001. He also began a show on Kiss 100 radio station in 2000 and was part of the Delta Heavy tour of 2002. Digweed also has the credit of providing the soundtrack for the movie Start Raving Mad.
His program on radio was aired in all the three radio stations of Kiss and was named as "Transitions". Apart from touring North America once again with Sasha, John Digweed provided the soundtrack for the movie Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance of 2008.
