In 1981, he got his first major role in the show Little House on the Prairie and then played the role of Rick Schroeder on the show Silver Spoons till 1984. He appeared in a number of unrecognized roles during this time, including a short role in Knight Rider. Jason Bateman also did a 10 episode stint on the show, It's Your Move.
