Jaime King was born on April 23, 1979, in Omaha, Nebraska. Her modelling career took start in her early teens and she moved to
New York.
In the beginning days of her career, Jaime modelled for magazines like Seventeen, Vogue, Allure and Mademoiselle. She walked the ramp for fashion labels like Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano.
Jaime’s work in modelling soon got her a spot on the MTV show House of Style in 1998. The program was quite a success and it added to the increasing portfolio of Jaime King. In 2001, Jaime acted in her debut movie Happy Campers. This earned her a DVD Exclusive Awards nomination for Best actress. In the later part of the year, Jaime got roles in the movies Pearl Harbor a
nd Blow. Her movies in 2002 included Lone Star State of Mind and Slackers.
Jaime landed her first lead role in the movie Bulletproof Monk in 2003 and, then, she appeared in the movies Pretty Persuasion and White Chicks. All these movies failed to achieve the desired success. So Jaime had to wait for two more years before so got some better publicity. In 2005, Jaime King got a prominent role in the Frank Miller movie Sin City as the twins Wendy and Goldie. The movie was a huge hit and bagged a total of fourteen awards round the globe. That same year, Jaime King acted in the movies Two for the Money and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
Jaime acted in the series The Class on CBS but the show didn’t last long. Her next show with CBS, named Gary Unmarried, was a success and it brought Jaime King back under public attention.
In 2008, Jaime King acted in the movie The Spirit, directed by Frank Miller, and in The Pardon. Her next movie with Frank Miller, entitled Sin City 2, is scheduled for release in 2010.
