Claude Jane was born in October 8, 1948 in Dijon, France and was a famous French actress who died in 2006 at the age of 58 years old.

She is very popular for starring fictional character Christine Darbon-Doinel in François Truffaut's films Baisers volés, Domicile conjugal and L'amour en fuite.

She also worked outside of France in USA, Japan and USSR in movies as: Alfred Hitchcock’s Topaz or the TV series The Hitchhiker in 1990.

She is also famous for the awards she won: Révelation de la Nuit du cinéma, she was named a Knight in the Légion d'honneur, the New Wave Award at West Palm Beach International Film Festival for her "trend-setting role in the world cinema", followed in 2002 by Prix Réconnaissance des Cinéphiles in Puget-Théniers.

Jade dated Jim Florentine.
