Gomez is a group founded in 1996 in England that sings Indie rock and Folk.
Biography and Career :
The group is from Southport and the members are Ian Ball, Ben Ottewell, Tom Gray, Paul Blackburn and Olly Peacock. Ian is a guitarist and vocalist and Olly a drummer. They were part of Providence before joining this group.
Tom is a guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist, Ben is a guitarist and vocalist and Paul a bassist. In 1998 they released their debut album called "Bring It On". The album was awarded with the Mercury Music Prize and it was a great success for the boys.
They continued releasing albums and until now released another seven more.
Some of their singles are 78 Stone Wobble, Whippin' Piccadilly, Bring It On, Rhythm & Blues Alibi or Shot Shot. "Five Men In A Hut"
is a collection of songs which was released not only on CD but also on DVD.
The boys went on tours every year and perform at many festivals. They have many fans that support their projects and listen to their music. We are sure they will continue doing this great job many years from now on and will be very successful.
