Her parents have another two children besides her.
She had attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City.
While attending the New York City's High School of Music and Art she became a singer and mezzo soprano and performed in a gospel choir.
She is a great actress and gained fame and popularity after appearances in movies and television series like "Mad TV", "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys", "Xena: Warrior Princess", "Cleopatra 2525", "Alias", "Firefly", "Angel", "The Matrix" sequels and "The Shield".
For her acting activity she received many awards during the years, like the ALMA Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Syndicated Drama Series, a nomination for the International Press Academy's Golden Satellite Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Drama and many others.
Other roles of hers were in movies like "Standoff", "I Think I Love My Wife" or "Serenity".
On the 20th of September 2002 she married Laurence Fishburne. In January 2007 they said that are expecting a child.
She is a great woman, wife, actress and she has millions of fans.
