Biography and Career :
In 2007 she released her debut album which is named after her. She sings Pop, R&B, Soul Music and Contemporary R&B. She has a contract with Atlantic Records at the moment (2007).
Her singles "Hit Me Up" and "Next" are two successful songs which brought her popularity. "Hit Me Up" was used as soundtrack in the movie "Happy Feet" and "Maidens of the Grove" in "Step Up".
She comes from a family with Italian origins and started singing when she was very young. In 1997 she began taking singing lessons.
Some of her favorite artists are Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera and she says their music inspire her.

she appeared on "Showtime At The Apollo" and was chosen one of their "Best Artists of the Year".
