Collien Fernandes was born on September 26, 1981, in Hamburg, Germany. When she was 15, she got her first modeling deal and began appearing on several ads on television. Apart from her acting, Collien pursued music as her side career and was a member of the band Yam Yam. She also took dance class at Academy of Dance Arts, Hamburg and pursued higher education in London.

Collien Fernandes was seen dancing in videos of artists like Enrique Iglesias and Shaggy. She also changed her band and joined Suco e Sol. The band released an album that became a good hit in Germany.
Collien started acting on television and her first role was in the show Babylon in 2000. She was also the musical host for Bravo TV and, then, joined VIVA in 2003. With VIVA, she was seen on shows like Top 100, Retrocharts and Viva Live.

In 2007, she was seen on VIVA once again hosting the show Are You Hot?. She also appeared in the TV show Dr. Molly & Karl. In 2008, Collien Fernandes participated in the reality show Gulcan und Collien ziehen aufs Land.
In 2008, Collien also acted in the movie Morgen, ihr Luschen! Der Ausbilder-Schmidt-Film.
