Claudiu Niculescu (Claudiu Iulian Niculescu) was born on June 23, 1976 in Slatina, Romania and he is a famous Romanian soccer player. Claudiu Niculescu Height : 182 cm.

Biography and Career :

Claudiu Niculescu began his career playing for FC Ielif Craiova in the B Division. He made his first appearance in the First Romanian Division(Divizia A)in 1998, when he was 22 years old, while he was playing for Universitatea Craiova in a match versus Petrolul Ploiesti. It was a happy debut for the young central offensive midfield, his team won the match with 2:1, and he was one of the strikers.

After 4 season spent at Universitatea Craiova, Claudiu Niculescu who once was the local people's idol left his team in a very difficult situation and signed a contract with Dinamo Bucharest i n 2001.

At his first season with Dinamo Bucharest, Claudiu Niculescu won the title in the First League and he became officially one of the best strikers from the internal competition.

The second season wasn't a brilliant one for Dinamo and Niculescu was transferred to Genoa FC 1893 in the Italian Second Division at the middle of the season.

After only half of season, in 2003 Claudiu Niculescu turned back to Dinamo Bucharest and he won another champion title with his team.

Currently Claudiu Niculescu is playing for Dinamo Bucharest and he already proved everybody he's a fabulous striker. Because of his performances which were far from constant, Claudiu Niculescu only collected 6 presences in the National Team.

- Topscorer in Divizia A with 21 goals in the season 2004-2005
- He played 24 matches in the European Cups and he scored 7 goals
