His birth name is Jack R Starky and during World War Two he served in the Army Air Corps.He began his career with the movie, "That Certain Age" in a minor role, following movies such as: "Gangster's Boy", "Streets of New York", "Military Academy" and "Varsities Vanities".
Buddy's most prolific role was in the movie, "Seventeen" directed by Louis King and written by Agnes Christine Johnston and Stannard Mears, playing role os Johnnie Watson. He debuted in 1956 in the serial, "Front Row Center" for the episode, "The Human Touch" as Peter Frank, and it was directed by Ralph Nelson and scripted by Marc Brandell and Lisa Kirk.
