Brother Guy Consolmagno was born in September 19, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. He is a famous research astronomer and planetary scientist at the Vatican Observatory.
He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and did his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1978, and his subjects were all Planetary Sciences. He was also a professor at Harvard College Observatory and MIT, after that he served in US Peace Corps to serve in Kenya for two years, teaching astronomy and physics.
Brother is also a position holder as Assistant Professor at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
In 1996 he also took part in Antarctic Search for Meteorites, ANSMET, where he discovered a number of meteorites on the ice fields of Antarctica.
