Bond is a band that is often written differently as bond in a different style in respect to the owners of the 007 copyright.
They are a famous Australian/British group of 4 who specialize in a sort of classical crossover music. Bond has often been known to be as the best selling group of 4 of all time, generating sales of over 4 million copies.
Bond was brought together following meetings between music producer Mike Batt and promoter Mel Bush, after the former suggested to latter that they both should put together a group of 4 comprising of "four beautiful, talented musicians".
Sometime later, the dude Bush pushed forward with the idea, bringing in producer Gareth Cousins to assist him in choosing the line up and define the band's sound. This gave an initial fo
ur songs that the band made, leading to Bond being signed by Decca. Three of those original recordings, "Duel", "The 1812" and "Dalalai", formed the major part of the first album, Born, with producer Magnus Fiennes giving them additional tracks and Mike Batt putting through a remix of the song "Victory", which became the first single.
The quartet currently has the members by the names Tania Davis (first playing violin, formerly viola, from Sydney in Australia), Eos Chater (playing second violin, from Cardiff in Wales), Elspeth Hanson (playing the viola from Upper Basildon in England) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (playing cello from Hull in England). Hanson came in for the original band member Haylie Ecker (formerly first violin), when she left in 2008 for personal reasons.
Their debut album that was called “Born” as stated earlier was taken out from the UK classical chart, basically because it sounded too much like pop music. Later, they rose to the #1 position on 21 different charts around the world. Shine, their second album, received the gold certification in six different countries. After being remixed, the band’s third release, featured remixes from their first two hit albums as well as three new unreleased pieces.
