The Black Light Burns are a weirdo group with a very weird genre in the form of Industrial metal.

Career:

They feature Wes Borland (of Limp Bizkit band). Their original member team consisted of Borland, along with Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv) and Josh Freese (The Vandals, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails). Their maiden kick ass album called Cruel Melody, that came out in the year 2007 in the month of June. They also came out with a covers “album+DVD” package content in 2008 Summer called “Cover Your Heart” and “the Anvil Pants Odyssey”. They are now in pursuit of their second album.

Borland says openly that, “Black Light Burns are a culmination of numerous ventures I have been working on ever since I left t he Limp Bizkit in the year 2001.

Things started with the project “Big Dumb Face”, that was my contemplation about working alone during my time with Limp Bizkit. I did not take the project too much seriously but actually used it as a platform to basically test the waters a bit, and find out for myself about how hard it would be to do something serious on my own, without the aid of my band mates.” Moreover, after he quit the band, he began working on various several different projects. The first one was an instrumental album that anyone could hear and simply relax. At the same time , he began Eat The Day. With this project, Borland said “I have became cocky”.

He thought because of success and fame with Limp Bizkit, getting it again with a new band would be simple. He realized that this was not the case at all. The album Eat The Day eventually released itself, as, in Borland's words, "I think everybody involved in that project had different ideas about the direction that it should go". He became self-absorbed, and along with continuous pressure from the label, and struggled finding a lead singer for the band, the project eventually disbanded.
