Beausoleil is a famous musical group well known for their Cajun Music. The band is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, United States and was found in 1975.
The members of the group are: Michael Doucet, David Doucet, Jimmy Breaux, Billy Ware, Tommy Alesi, and Mitchell Reed.

The Band has always played traditional music rooted in folk tunes. Beausoleil released its first album "The Spirit of Cajun Music " in 1977.
Several other well known albums are, "Michael Doucet with BeauSoleil", "Hot Chili Mama" and "Cajun Conja".

Why are they famous?

The Founder of Beausoleil, Michael Doucet, was awarded a National Heritage Fellowship by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2005.
