Anastasia Rodionova was born on May 12, 1982 in Tambov, Russia. She is a professional tennis player.

Biography and Career :

In May 1997 she started her tennis career as a professional tennis player. She began playing tennis when she was a child. After only three years, in 2000, she won the Russian Championships 18's in singles and doubles. In 2003 at Wimbledon she and her partner, Andy Ram, managed to play the mixed doubles final but unfortunately they lost. Until now (2007) she has won six ITF single titles, two WTA doubles titles and eleven ITF doubles titles.

In 2007 she had an incident during a match and was disqualified. It all happened at the Cincinnati Open and while playing against Angelique Kerber, she launched a ball at supporters. Almost half million dollars ente red her pockets just from tennis. On April 16, 2007 she was ranked on the 63rd position in Top 100. This is the highest position she has ever had. At the Australian Open and US Open she hasn’t played yet.

In 2006 she participated at the French Open and played the first round before being eliminated. Also in that year she played at Wimbledon and reached the second round. She has the qualities of a good tennis player, is talented and soon she might win her first WTA single title. We wish her luck and hope she will not be affected by injuries.
