Altan is an Irish Folk group. The members are Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Claran Curran, Claran Tourish, Mark Kelly and Dermot Byrne.Altan was formid in 1981 in Donegal. They have released several albums such as: "Horse with a Heart", "The Red Crow", "Harvest Storm", "The Blue Idol" and "Another Sky".

They are famous for their traditional Gaelic song and Donegal fiddle-playing.
