Agnetha Faltskog was born on 5th April 1950 in Ji¶nki¶ping, Sweden. She is a Swedish recording artist and entertainer.

Biography and Career:

Agnetha Faltskog was born and brought up in Ji¶nki¶ping, Sweden. She is the eldest daughter of Knut Ingvar Fi¤ltskog a department stores manager and Birgit Margareta Johansson. Her father was very interested in music and show business.

She wrote her first song when she was 6 years old. She started taking piano classes and singing in the church choir in 1958. She along with her friends Lena Johansson and Elisabeth Strub started a musical group "The Chambers" in 1960. Soon the group was dissolved because they didn't have many appointments. When she was 15 years old she dropped out from school to pursue her career.

She worked as a rec eptionist for a car firm while performing with a local dance band, lead by Bernt Enghardt. The band soon became so popular that she had to decide between her job and her musical career. She continued singing with the Bernt Enghardt band for two years. Karl Gerhard Lundkvist, a relative of one of the band's members, retired from his successful rock and roll career and began working as a music producer at Cupol Records. She signed a recording deal with CBS Records.

In the 1980s, she released three English solo albums. The records did fine in Europe and Scandinavia. In 1982, she duetted with Swedish singer Tomas Ledin for a song called "Never Again", which became a Top Five hit in Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and South America. The song was also released in a Spanish language version, entitled "Ya Nunca Mi¡s". In the summer in the same year, she acted in the hit Swedish movie Raskenstam, and received positive reviews for her film debut. The film was also a blockbuster hit in Sweden.
