Adrienne Bailon was born in Lower East Side, Manhattan, New York, U.S. she is the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and an Ecuadorian father on Lower Eastside Manhattan, New York. When she was singing in the church coir in 1999 she was noticed by pop star Ricky Martin. He wanted 4 good singers and Adrienne Bailon was one among the four. She later joined a girl group which was named 3LW.
In 2000 the group along with Kiely Williams and Nautri Naughton signed a contract with Eric Records and released their debut album. Their solo song "No more" was at number 23 on the billboard hot
100 and the album was at number 29 in the charts. The album was also certified platinum by the RIAA for shipping 1.3 million copies in the U.S.
After Nautri left the group the group was renamed as 2LW. She and Kiely released a holiday album "Naughty or Nice". Later Jessica Benson took the place of Nautri after several auditions. In 2004 the group signed a contract with Sony and So So Def Records. Sony released a collection album "Neva Get Enuf" in 2005.
She also did a supporting role on Disney Channel's That So Raven in which she played the role Alana. Then she acted in the movie Coach Carter in 2005. Walt Disney created a real life girl group with Adrienne, Kiely, and Sabrina Bryan. In 2006 they signed a contract with Hollywood Records after they left Walt Disney. And in the same year they released their holiday album "Cheetah licious Christmas".
