3rd Storee

 Q:
3rd Storee 3rd Storee is a hip-hop band that was active from 1997 to the early 2000s. It was formed in Los Angeles in the year 1997.

Career:

It had four members named Kevontay, D'Smoove, Jay-R, and K. Young. The band was aiming to compete with groups like Jackson Five and New Edition. Their first big break/success was when they were signed by Edmonds Entertainment by Tracey Edmonds. This also gave the band to tour with N’Sync and Britney Spears.

3rd Storee released their self-titled debut album in 1999. This album had five tracks produced by Babyface. "If Ever" and "Party Tonight" were released as singles.

Lead singer K. Young, also known as Lil Man left the group to pursue a solo career after their debut album. He released his first album "Learn How to Love" in 2005. This albu m contained the hit single "Happy Together". As part of his current deal with Treacherous Records, K. Young was given his own production company "Magic Ink" and he is currently touring in Europe.

Later, Def Soul started serving as the new distribution method for Edmonds Entertainment. The group was then moved there. While there, the group roster expanded to five, as they added long-time friend, J'Son, and Gavin, through the group's manager, Jacqueline McQuarn.

The band released the album “Get With Me” in 2002 while working in Def Soul. It included the track "I'm Sorry," which the group had recorded for the popular movie “Rush Hour 2” soundtrack. The title track of the album was "Get With Me". This track was produced by Rodney Jerkins and was released as a single.

After the successful gaining some recognition in the music industry the group went on a brief hiatus. In the year 2006 the group returned under the name “Chapter 4” and had lost Kevontay in the process. Under the new name, the group was signed to J Records, where they released the single "Fool Wit You." They were reportedly working on a new album, but there haven’t been anymore updates on the status of that album.
