3rd Faze

 Q:   Ask a Question about 3rd Faze
3rd Faze 3rd Faze is an all-girl trio into Pop Music.

Career:

They came together by HealthSouth Corporation and its former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard M. Scrushy to perform on HealthSouth's Go For It! Roadshow, a touring show produced by the company.

The idea of coming up with and promoting a pop group through the show such as this was suggested by music producer Tim Coons, who also added his own girl group called "Real" to a Go For It! show in Salt Lake City. 3rd Faze members were Halie Clark, Minia Corominas and Sara Marie Rauch, and came together in the September 2000 under a five-year agreement with Coons company that was called ' Atlantic Music Company. The name that was chosen by Coons pointed to the "3 phases" of life (past, present and future).

On April 27, 2001 they signed a performance and recording contract with the company GFI Productions, the HealthSouth subsidiary which actually produced the show Go For It! Roadshow. Also the company called RDR Worth Music Publishing that was formed by then manager Scrushy, Don Perry and Ralph Stringer, acted as go-between. 3rd Faze released a titled album in September 2001 on the Edeltone label.

The band was then taken in by the Sony-owned Columbia label in the year 2002 after Sony Records CEO Tommy Mottola was given 250,000 shares in HealthSouth stock options by the company's board of directors. Then in 2002 Scrushy bought out Coons' contract and then assigned HealthSouth Vice-President for Marketing and Communications and the former actor Jason Hervey to go on and at the helm and manage the group. 3rd Faze then opened for O-Town and Britney Spears on tour. They also recorded four songs for the company Columbia that were produced by Rick Wake. Mattola's resignation from Sony led to the record deal being cancelled.

The women of 3rd Faze, the musical group that was bankrolled by a company set up by Richard Scrushy and HealthSouth Corp were always known to lavishly spend on their outings and traveled in style.
